How does a KNX smart home project begin?

ARET Mühendislik is based in Esenyurt, Istanbul. For villa and residential projects, we first review the architectural plans and room-by-room requirements. Once the lighting circuits, blind motors, heating and cooling systems, sensors, and control interfaces are defined, we prepare the KNX application, panel, and wiring plan. What affects the cost of a KNX smart home system?

There is no single cost per square metre that fits every project. The number of lighting circuits and motorised blinds, dimming method, room-level climate control, sensors, switches and screens, panel capacity, condition of the existing installation, remote access, and third-party integrations all affect the scope. Core KNX functions can be designed to operate locally. Remote access depends on the internet connection and network design.

Can KNX be installed in an existing home?

Feasibility depends on the existing wiring, possible intervention in finished surfaces, and the desired functions. Hybrid options can be considered where appropriate.
